Amber.
Amber on the 25th March 2002.
Breeder: Unknown Colour: Champagne mismarked hooded .
Date of Birth: Unknown. Nick names: Amber-lamb, Ambipure and Amberlicious.
This is Amber she is my first rescue rat, she came from a rescue center in Wokingham I got her on the 26th January 2002 and I think she is about 4 months old. I decided to get another rat after Darla died and wanted to get a rescue rat because I felt it would be a good thing to do as I have bought from breeders and bred myself but there are also so many rats which need homes in rescue centers which aren't as fortunate as the rats which are at breeders. I chose Amber as at first I thought she was the only one in her cage however there was a lot more hiding in a tube, but she seemed most friendly and didn't bolt up into the tube. When I first saw her I thought she was an albino but she is actually a lovely subtle cream mis-marked hooded and she has the softest fur!
Personality wise Amber is very calm out of the cage in fact she is very good and I'm pleased with her in that way however she does nip a tad in the cage. She has settled in well with the huskies after the initial dominance squabbles, although she is a rat who likes her own space and will happily sleep on her own.
